EQUILIBRIO / THE BALANCE OF CONTRASTS
The two young Slovak artists Soňa Ferienčíková and Ľubo Bukový were awarded with the International Visegrad Fund grant of financial paid (Visegrad Artist Residency Program - Performing Arts, VARP). Their Laboratory will take place in Maladype from January 20. to February 28. 2013. The planned in-progress presentation is to take place in the Maladype Bazis at 7 p.m. March 1. 2013.

F. Schiller: Don Carlos
Don Carlos, written by Schiller, is an excellent example of the pathetic-rhetoric thesis-drama genre. It’s story takes place at the power structure of the scheming and severe, highly regulated Spanish royal court. The plot is focusing on the faltering and anguishing prince, Don Carlos who is just about to be torn by the unfulfillness of his personal relationships. As for the aspect of the dramatic action, the most significant character is – the advocate of the European humanism – Marquis of Posa. He is the one who leads and merges the emotional and political motives into a unified system of inducements. However Carlos and Posa are going to fall, the youthful ambitions of their „golden dreams” will not be able to come true in the empire of necessity, the noble ideals of freedom and friendship triumphs over in the abstract layer formulated with lofty diction of this drama.

MALADYPE’S TOUR IN INDIA
We are on the tour with Egg(s)Hell in India from the 3rd untill 9th of November 2012. This year Hungary will be one of the honorary guests of the Delhi International Arts Festival (DIAF). The trip is organized by Hungarofest Nonprofit Kft. and is sponsored by the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice.

Due to the austerity measures, coproductions and invitations to festivals in far countries, Maladype will spend a long time abroad. According to our season plan there will be four new performances, six new art and educational programs, and an Indian, an Iranian and an American trip.
SEASON OPENING WITH AN OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY’S LAST DECADE
On 15 September 2012, there will be a season opening party on the Maladype Base which will be connected with an overview of the company’s last decade. Through this event we’d like to show our adoration to Péter Molnár Gál who was an author, a critic, and also the joint author of the Maladype book. With our special guests we are going to talk through the most exciting stories that happened to us during these years.

MALADYPE as coproduction partner in the EU EACEA program enhancing the mobility of the young people sent to the Nomads of the Beauty project of the program two Hungarian students and their tutor from the Stage and Costume Design Department of the University of the Fine Arts in Budapest. The International Workshop of the Young Scenographers was held this summer in Split, Croatia and led by setting designer Alexandra Denic and director Ivica Buljan. At the interpretation of the mythology of Tristan and Isolde the director radically shortens the story, cleans it of borderline situations and side characters, also of specific history references and traditions of presence.

The director of the Maladype Theatre puts on stage the everlasting story of Tristan and Isolde in his special way in the Mini Teater Ljubljana with Slovene actors. The Mini Theatre cooperates with internationally recognized theatres and actors on a regular basis.

Performance in English langue 
Ivica Buljan is one of the most productive directors of post-dramatic theatre in Croatia, and he has directed and toured all over Europe. His most recent show Ma and Al is based on inspiration on texts by J.D. Salinger and Bernard-Maria Koltès in which the reader can recognise the parenting couple from the dysfunctional family Glass. The space is decorated with fragments of props, and the border between the real and fictitious experience become blurred as the audience is called upon and drawn into the playful hysteria of the actors that play characters from the novel and the play. Issues that are opened in the show are varied and from the everyday: family breakups, the death of a child, American democracy, the relationship between traditional and contemporary theatre, art, the Vietnam war, etc. Strong performances by Senka Bulić and Marko Mandić give us an in depth understanding of Salinger's and Koltès's texts.
Ma and Al is a brilliant play, thanks to extraordinary actors who amaze us with a brilliant physical theater, and the director who through the choice of theatrical actions and scenery, achieves the atmosphere of neurotic destructiveness that illustrates the relationship between main characters, or anti-characters to be more precise...(Zrinka Zorčec, Vijesnik)

In 2011 the Maladype Theatre, one of the most exciting high quality independent formations of the theatrical world of Hungary, celebrates its 10th anniversary. During 10 years of its existence the Maladype Theatre has altogether presented 17 performances. Now, over the course of one long weekend, the company is to show its most significant performances of its repertoire presented with outstanding success on both local and international stages.

PLATONOV goes to Ljubljana
The Ex Ponto International Festival takes place in Ljubljana from 16th to 25th September. In the framework of the Festival the Maladype Theatre is to show its performance Platonov.
This year's Festival edition will address the following subject: “The end or the beginning?” The Festival will host 16 performances from Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Poland, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Kosovo, Hungary, Romania, Austria, Japan, Slovakia and Belgium. They will be shown at different venues in Ljubljana.
The Festival will be opened on 16th September 2011 with the premiere of The lexicon of the Mythology of former Yugoslavia directed by Oliver Frljić and it will present brilliant foreign productions until 25th September 2011. The first show is A piece on mother and the fathersland directed by Jan Klata. Ex Ponto will host Saloma directed by Branko Brezovec, premiered at this year's Eurokaz.
Zoltán Balázs will participate with the performance Platonov and Borut Šeparović with Generation 91. – 95. The Festival's program also includes Waiting room directed by Viliam Dočolománsky, Roosevelt Square under the direction of Radu Afrim as well as some Slovenian premieres. Vlado Repnik and Martina Ruhsam will come from Vienna's Tanzquartier to Ex Ponto's stage with the performance How far can we talk?, Milan Tomášik will present Off-Beat, Sabina Schwenner Butcher’s Shop and Ryuzo Fukuhara and Samo Potokar Not.all.ways.
Platonov will be shown in Mini Teatr (Križevniška 1.) at 8.30 p.m. on the 23rd September.
After the show a meeting with the artists will take place.

The Maladype Theatre's performance will be shown in the Gong Theatre (Str. Alexandru Odobescu nr. 4, Sibiu) on 27th May at 5 p.m.
Sibiu International Theatre Festival is the most prominent annual performing arts event in Romania and the third in Europe in terms of size and relevance. This year, between May 27th and June 5th, the festival will celebrate it's 18th edition featuring the theme "COMMUNITIES".
Dante: Inferno - PREMIER!
The three canticas of Dante`s Divine Comedy are the Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise - a trilogy that seek to stylishly unite the tenth anniversary of the Maladype Theatre`s work, starting with the Inferno- instead of realms shrouded in mist, we`re faced with precisely defined, measurable and detailed sections of Space.
